Visiting Artist Program Featuring Robert McAlpine
We’re pleased to welcome Robert William McAlpine to Queenston Pottery as part of our Visiting Artist Program. This compelling exhibition features Robert’s abstract work, where colour, texture, and movement come together to explore the raw, emotional layers of the human experience.
About the Artist
Based in Niagara, Robert McAlpine is an abstract artist whose work is deeply rooted in lived experience. Using bold colour, expressive texture, and intuitive movement, his paintings reflect both the uplifting and challenging moments of life. His practice serves as a way to process, understand, and share emotions that words often cannot express.
Robert’s work explores themes of mental health, resilience, failure, and growth. Each canvas becomes an honest conversation, transforming emotion into colour and struggle into texture. His art is unapologetically human, inviting viewers to connect not only with what they see, but with what they feel.
