Expressions in Clay
This hands-on workshop at Queenston Pottery invites participants aged 12 and up, regardless of skill level, to explore expressive possibilities in clay. Each participant will be given a ball of clay to sculpt a face—or other form—that captures an expression, emotion, or personal statement. Let your imagination guide you as you shape your creation under the guidance and support of local ceramic artists, who will be on hand to offer tips, inspiration, and encouragement.
This Culture Days workshop takes place at Queenston Pottery, a functioning pottery studio and gallery with a 47-year history.
At a later date, after the pieces are fired, a panel of judges will select the most expressive and imaginative works of art for prizes and inclusion in a future exhibition.
This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty, connect with the local arts community, and express yourself through clay. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced maker, you'll leave inspired, and maybe win a prize.
All materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity and imagination.
Participants may register to reserve a preferred time slot by completing the form below or calling Queenston Pottery at 905-262-4196 and asking for Lisa.
On the day of the workshop, please arrive 10 minutes in advance to claim your spot.
