Mother’s Day in Clay: A Creative Morning for Family & Friends

Celebrate Mom (or someone who feels like Mom) with a hands-on experience that’s meaningful, memorable, and made by you.

Join us at Queenston Pottery on Saturday, May 9, for a special Mother’s Day clay workshop designed for families, best friends, and creative kids (ages 12+). Whether you’re planning a thoughtful outing with Mom, a multi-generational afternoon, or simply time together doing something creative, this 90-minute session is a beautiful way to connect.

The Experience:

Each participant will begin with one leather-hard stoneware tumbler as their canvas. With expert guidance and specialized tools, you’ll sculpt expressive faces, floral details, meaningful textures, or a design that feels uniquely yours. No prior experience is needed; we’ll be right there to help every step of the way.

What’s Included:

• One stoneware tumbler to sculpt and personalize
• All materials, tools, and instructions
• A refreshing Lemonade Bar to enjoy while you create
• Professional glazing and kiln firing to 1330°C (dishwasher-safe and food-safe)
• Full access to explore our gallery collections

Finished pieces will be ready for pickup (or shipping) in 6-12 weeks.

Who’s it For?

Perfect for families, moms and teens, besties, or anyone looking to create something heartfelt together. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Have a slightly younger child who you think would be a great fit? That’s okay too. If they’re able to focus for the full session and work independently with guidance, we’re happy to welcome them.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits, but advance registration is recommended.

Experiences bring people together.
