Visiting Artist Program Featuring Robin Nisbet

We’re delighted to welcome acrylic artist Robin Nisbet to Queenston Pottery as part of our Visiting Artist Program. This special exhibition features Robin’s layered, expressive paintings inspired by the Canadian landscape—works that balance quiet reflection with spontaneous energy and depth.

About the Artist

Born in Ottawa and now living and working in the Niagara Region, Robin Nisbet is a graduate of Brock University’s Bachelor of Studio Arts (Honours), with a concentration in digital media. Her passion for art has been a lifelong journey, beginning in graphic design before returning to school in 2011 to pursue painting and drawing more fully.

Robin’s work is grounded in the landscapes where she feels most at home. Through many layers of acrylic, quick brushstrokes, and intuitive mark-making, her paintings capture moments of stillness, movement, and the unexpected. The solitude of painting keeps her present and grounded, while her collaborative spirit continues to shape her evolving practice.

Robin works across painting, illustration, photography, and digital art. She is also an art instructor and workshop facilitator who enjoys sharing her knowledge and collaborating with fellow artists. Her work can be found in private collections across Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

Event Highlights

This exclusive exhibition will feature Robin’s latest acrylic paintings, and we’re excited to showcase the pieces she has selected for our gallery.

Join us during her Meet the Artist Day on Saturday, June 20, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm to engage with Robin, hear about her creative process, and learn more about the inspirations behind her work. Guests are welcome to inquire directly about commissions and future projects.

Robin Nisbet’s work will be on display in our gallery from June 10 to July 28.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this thoughtful and expressive exhibition by one of Niagara’s contemporary artists.
