  • 1648 York Road Niagra On The Lake Ontario, L0S 1JO (map)

Love in Clay: A Creative Afternoon for Family & Friends

Add a creative spin to your winter weekends, because making something together is the best way to connect.

Join us at Queenston Pottery for a hands-on clay workshop designed for families, best friends, and creative kids (ages 12+). Whether you are looking for a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the kids or just need a fun, artistic break from the winter chill, this 90-minute session is the perfect way to warm up and get your hands in the clay.

About the Workshop

  • The Experience: You will start with one "leather-hard" stoneware tumbler (perfect for cocoa or juice!). Using specialized tools and expert guidance, you’ll sculpt these canvases into expressive faces, characters, or unique patterns.

  • Who: Perfect for families, besties, and budding artists ages 12 and up! No prior experience is needed; we will be right there to offer tips and help your imagination come to life.

  • The Setting: Our workshop takes place inside our active working studio —the historic heart of Queenston Pottery, where we have been handcrafting fine pottery for 48 years.

What’s Included

  • One leather-hard stoneware tumbler to serve as your sculpting canvas.

  • All materials, tools, and expert instruction in a fun, encouraging atmosphere.

  • Signature Hot Chocolate Bar: Warm up with a custom cup of hot cocoa while you create.

  • Professional glazing and firing: Your pieces will be fired to 1330°C, making them durable, dishwasher-safe, and food-safe. They will be ready for pickup (or shipping) in approximately 12 weeks.
