Celebrate Early Fall with Clay & Nature!
Join us for a creative and relaxing pottery experience inspired by the beauty of the season. 
In this two-part workshop, you’ll craft your own Nature Tiles using real leaves and flowers, then return to glaze your pieces with vibrant color and personal flair. Whether you're new to pottery or already love working with clay, this is a joyful way to welcome spring and make something truly one-of-a-kind.
Session 1 (3 hours): Create Your Nature Tiles - Wednesday, September 10 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm
In this hands-on session, you'll create three unique Nature Tiles using real leaves, herbs, and wildflowers—picked fresh from our gardens or provided for you. You’ll learn how to:
- Extrude and condition a clay slab 
- Choose and arrange botanical textures in your own decorative style 
- Cut and shape your tiles 
- Prepare your pieces for bisque firing 
Session 2 (Optional about 1 hour, give or take) - Thursday, September 11 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm
This session is optional
- Smooth edges, add borders, and final touch-ups 
Session 3 (3 hours): Glazing Night – Thursday, October 2, from 6:30 -
Now it’s time to add color and bring your tiles to life! In this creative glazing session, you’ll:
- Use a rubbing technique to highlight the textures of your Nature Tiles 
- Add your own artistic flair with guidance from our Queenston Pottery team 
What’s Included:
- All clay, glazes, tools, and materials. 
- Use of a first-class pottery studio, with beautiful gardens and a 47-year history of creating pottery in Niagara-on-the-Lake 
- Expert Instruction from the Queenston Pottery team 
- Two kiln firings that will transform your pieces from dry clay into beautiful and durable pottery. 
- Your own beautiful nature tiles to bring home, after your pieces are fired in our next glaze kiln. (Within approximately 2 months). 
- Wine, light refreshments, community, connection, and of course, fun!
